John Vincent Bohnert
~ Grandfather ~
d. March 4, 1971
John Vincent Bohnert was our grandfather, the father of our father, James Joseph Bohnert, and the son of our great grandparents, William Bohnert and Mary Elizabeth (nee Leible) Bohnert. John was born on June 19 1899, in Perry County, Missouri. On July 16, 1919, he married Sarah Helen (nee Bohnert) Bohnert. He is buried in Mount Hope Catholic Cemetery in Perryville, Perry County, Missouri. At the time of his death he was 71 years old.
~ Notes and Corrections ~
The informant was John's wife, Sarah Helen Bohnert (who was also his twice half first cousin).
John's mother's name was Mary Elizabeth (nee Leible) Bohnert, NOT Elizabeth Reel. It's unknown why John's wife, Sarah, would think his mother had the last name of Reel (Riehl). John's mother was Sarah's aunt, the sister of her mother, so it would be reasonable to expect her to know her aunt's last name.
Sarah's own grandmother's last name was Riehl, but the first name was Helena. Helena was not related to John at all.

Mary Elizabeth (nee Leible) Bohnert

d. July 31, 1912
Mary Elizabeth (nee Leible) Bohnert was our great grandmother, the mother of our grandfather, John Vincent Bohnert, and the daughter of our 2x great grandparents, Vincent Leible, Jr. and Mary Martha (nee Boschert) Leible. Mary Elizabeth was born on July 2, 1857, in Perry County, Missouri. On January 2 1875, she married William Bohnert. She is buried in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Apple Creek, Perry County, Missouri. At the time of her death she was 56 years old.
~ Notes and Corrections ~
The informant was either her husband, William, or her son, William Ignaz. Both were living at the time. It is more likely that William Ignaz would have given the name "Ignaz."
Mary Elizabeth (nee Leible) Bohnert's mother's maiden name was "Boschert."
When searching the Missouri Death Certificates online, this document is under the surname "Leible" due to the error visible on the form by the registrar.
The birthplace of Mary's parents was Urloffen, Germany

Rosalia Katharina (nee Leible) Bohnert
~ Great Grandmother ~
d. February 26, 1951
Rosalia (Rose) Catharina (nee Leible) Bohnert was our great grandmother, the mother of our grandmother, Sarah Helen (nee Bohnert) Bohnert, and the daughter of our 2x great grandparents, Vincent Leible, Jr. and Helena Riehl. Rosalia was born on May 20, 1866, in Perry County, Missouri. On November 21, 1881, she married Anton Bohnert. She is buried in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Apple Creek, Perry County, Missouri. ~ Notes and Corrections ~
Rosalia Katherine Bohnert was commonly known as "Rose."
The informant, William F. Kirn, was the son-in-law of the deceased.
Rose's husband's name was ANTON Bohnert NOT Vincent. It is possible that this was an error made by the registrar of the document. It is unlikely that William Kirn would not know his father-in-law's first name.
Schnurbusch was the original name for Apple Creek, Missouri.
